Caron Delpeche was the first newcomer to AQUATOTS Franchise when AQUATOTS became a franchise operation in June 2003. She was already the proud owner of a most successful Moms and Babes franchise at the time. She felt that she could extend her interest in early childhood development and stimulation of infants by adding AQUATOTS as an aquatic playground.
“Water is a big deal for our family” says Caron. She and husband Shane are both advanced scuba divers and did not waste any time teaching both their children to swim the AQUATOTS way. They feel that they can really identify with parents and their little ones because of this.
Caron’s franchise, originally in Little Falls, soon outgrew the premises and was relocated to the rambling estate in Ruimsig where ponies, dogs and even a parrot mingle with children around a ‘jungle gym’ after swim lessons. It’s an ideal place for gala days for the whole swim school.
Shane, a dental technician by profession, found himself gradually drawn into AQUATOTS. Within the first three years of the franchise he was a qualified AQUATOTS instructor himself and now shares the teaching with Caron. They both teach everyday of the week and are regularly found teaching alongside each other or even taking classes together.
Caron and Shane are both passionate about what they do and make an admirable team each bringing their own unique strengths into the business.
