Elaine Mooi is the proud owner of AQUATOTS Boksburg. She and her husband Ettienne, who Elaine gives most of the credit, have created a tropical setting for infant swim teaching that is both reassuring and inviting. The use of subtle light in the pool on late afternoons and early winter evenings prompts a sense of spontaneous reconnection for infants with their pre-birth aquatic environment. Not only does this make it an ideal setting for very young infants but also for the most water shy of toddlers.
Elaine loved the AQUATOTS way of teaching infants to swim when she experienced the likes of it with her baby daughter. Later, when her son was born she could not find a similar swim school in the area where they lived. Elaine says that is when she and Ettienne started to think about setting up their own swim school. With the vision of teaching their son herself, and with the business sense gained from her B.Com MBA degree, they went ahead with confidence to turn a dream into a business. What a way for AQUATOTS Boksburg to have come about.
