Marinda Linde is a registered Biokineticist who practiced land-based therapy for 5 years before she decided to specialise in Paediatric Hydrotherapy. She qualified as an AQUATOTS instructor in 1997 under Nell White, the founder of AQUATOTS Swim Program, with the intention of incorporating the program in her therapy sessions.

Marinda works with a variation of disabilities including amongst others, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Down Syndrome, Anderman Syndrome, Mitochondria Myopathy, Developmental Delays, Autism, Muscular Dystrophy, Low Muscle Tone and Hyperkinetic Syndrome. She found that in using AQUATOTS Swim Program as a therapeutic tool in developing head control, encouraging control of the upper and lower limbs, improving balance and coordination, developing awareness of skills of daily living, increasing mental adaptability, encouraging independent movement, improving respiration and breathing control, and developing spatial awareness etc. her little patients also mastered water safety skills and swimming ability at the same time. Appreciating the full significance of AQUATOTS for over all development, Marinda now has her doors open to all infants regardless of whether they require therapy or not.  

In her 3 by 6 meter therapy pool, with water temperature at 32°-34°C throughout the year, she has a happy mix shifting her focus according to the needs of the individual child. She feels this approach provides perfect emotional release and enjoyment for all.

Marinda serves as Hydrotherapy Consultant for AQUATOTS in the AQUATOTS-Biokinetics Division.
